Average review score:

A fun and entertaining book!
Fascinating Facts is filled with information on topics from thefirst humans to religion to space. It is a great tool for elementaryteachers and parents of children in elementary. There were many interesting facts that even I didn't know. This book definitely stirs a child's imagination.

How Now Cow (Fun Flap Books)
Published in Hardcover by Polka Dot Press (October, 1900)
Authors: Angela Chambers and Simone Abel
Average review score:

This is a disappointment
I was very disappointed with this book. There is not much of a story. It's not interesting. I ordered this because I like the lift the flap books. Their are only 4 flaps in the whole book. The story is short and very unimaginative. I am sending it back!!

In My Lady's Chamber (Signet Regency Romance)
Published in Paperback by Signet (July, 1993)
Author: Laura Matthews
Average review score:

Predictable and boring...
Forget this book unless you absolutely have nothing else to read. The plot is interesting, but very badly handled and the characters have no fire between them. No chemistry at all between them.. not even in the so called [hot] scenes! You read about them with the same sort of involvement and passion you have when you read comic strips. At times, they actually do seem like characters out of a comic strip!...

The Mystic Test Book of the "Hindu Occult Chambers" - 1909: The Magic and Occultism of India Hindu and Egyptian Crystal Gazing the Hindu Magic Mirror 1909
Published in Paperback by Kessinger Publishing Company (March, 1997)
Authors: L. W. Delaurence and L. W. de Laurence
Average review score:

Mislabeled
I bought this to study the connection between Hindu & Egyptian mysticism and mirror mythology, but was very disappointed. It's mostly wishy-washy vagaries about getting a person in touch with the astral plane. There's very little reliable referencing to actual ancient beliefs, and instead sounds more like Delaurence was attempting to fuse different systems he'd studied into some new, simplified route to "enlightenment". It would be more appropriate to call it "The Wanna-Be-Genuine Psychics Text Book". Who knows, maybe those looking for such a book would benefit.

Police
Published in Hardcover by Wildside Pr (November, 2002)
Author: Robert W. Chambers
Average review score:

police is not obeying enough rules
original and inventive, as always. the stories worked better than usually by the author. some with real interesting concepts. but he never knows how to stick only to the story, to obey sensible literal rules, how to form the stories in a sensible way.

The Torture Chamber
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Nexus Pr (15 October, 2000)
Author: Lisette Ashton
Average review score:

Dullsville
This book did not hold my interest at all. A little S&M not even done in a manner to be arousing to me.

The Golden Book of Words
Published in School & Library Binding by Goldencraft (June, 1974)
Author: Selma Lola Chambers
Average review score:

Not what you expect
I expected a standard message board (white board) with maybe an icon of Spongebob on it. Nothing fancy - but something to hang in the kitchen and leave the occasional message on. HOWEVER, it is cheaply made and very flimsy unfortunately - like paperboard. I was going to give it to my friend for Christmas, but am embarrassed to do so. It will probably sit in the box because it isn't worth returning.

A Guide to Doing Business in Japan
Published in Paperback by American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (August, 1996)
Author: American Chamber of Commerce in Japan
Average review score:

Not a guide for the casual business trip
I bought "A Guide to Doing Business in Japan" in preparation for an upcoming. month-long business trip to Japan. Having been to the island nation once before, I figured that a little brush-up on etiquette, practices, and customs couldn't hurt. This wasn't the book for that, however. "A Guide to Doing Business in Japan" is focused on helping those who want to set up businesses in Japan, not those who visit. It is very easy to read, but the information is only centered around legal issues, real estate practices, descriptions of the business calendar, and like topics. There is little to be gained here for a short trip on business.

Additionally, the book has become quite outdated. Published in 1996, it fails to cover any of the situations brought about since the Asian economic crisis and Japan's own banking system failures. It is in bad need of a refresh, and even more so a re-titling. Casual business travelers would be better off buying one of the tourist-oriented guides to Japan that demonstrate how to deal with it's people and culture.
